“Brian Mink is a results-driven legal executive and innovator with experience developing leading-edge legal, operations, and data strategies for Am Law 100 law firms and Fortune 300 companies. Brian recently joined InTown Suites as General Counsel, VP of Risk Management & Corporate Secretary, serving as the chief legal officer and a C-suite executive for one of the largest extended stay chains in the U.S.

Brian is a frequent speaker and thought leader in the emerging disciplines of legal operations and analytics, which leverage process improvement methodologies, automation, and data analytics to enhance legal service delivery. Brian serves as Adjunct Professor of Legal Analytics & Innovation at the University of Georgia School of Law and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Data Science Connect, one of the largest data science organizations in the world.

Prior to his role at Intown Suites, Brian served as Legal Operations Director at Norfolk Southern, a Fortune 300 company and one of North America’s largest freight railroads, leading a team responsible for the financial, technological, and data aspects of the Law Department, Government Relations Department, and Corporate Secretary’s Office. In the Legal Operations team’s first year in existence, we were recognized as “”Legal Operations Team of the Year”” by Corporate Counsel magazine. Brian also developed and implemented an ambitious, data-driven diversity, equity, and inclusion (“”DEI””) strategy that leveraged DEI data in selection and evaluation of Norfolk Southern’s 150 outside counsel law firms.

As an attorney at Troutman Sanders in Atlanta, Brian founded and was the chief architect of the firm’s Contract Analytics and Automation Initiative and a founding member of the firm’s Innovation Committee. These efforts led to the firm receiving the Georgia Legal Awards’ inaugural “”Most Innovative Law Firm”” award. Brian was also named to Best Lawyers’ “”Ones to Watch”” list. My practice included representation of developers, owners, and end users in commercial real estate transactions across a range of industries.

Brian maintains an active pro bono practice and have represented numerous non-profit organizations in the Atlanta area that promote affordable housing and educational equity. ”
